Yardley Wang, Certified IFP - Pickleball Coach & Instructor

Yardley brings a great level of excitement, professionalism, and patience to the court as he teaches new pickleball players how to play. He has taught countless pickleball players how to play and develop their skills bringing many from beginner to intermediate to advanced in record time.

Yardley began instructing pickleball in New Jersey and then expanded his knowledge by instructing and playing in SouthWest Florida from Fort Myers, Naples, Sarasota to Lakewood Ranch.

He takes delight in teaching pickleball private and group lessons, drills and skill sessions for beginners to advanced players.

Yardley’s lessons maximize time on task while also teaching to each participant’s unique learning style. He is more than a teacher, he’s a coach that helps you recognize when you are succeeding and how to adjust when you are not.

His lessons are “high energy” and designed to get the most reps out of each session. During a lesson with Yardley, it is not uncommon for a student to hit 200+ balls.

He can “under the microscope” any stroke defect for reinforcing while also instructing for student outcomes.

Yardley Wang has been coaching professionals how to build themselves and their businesses for decades; he is now taking those skills to the pickleball courts.

Yardley had a life-threatening run with Covid back in January 2021, double pneumonia, a major heart attack (the widowmaker), a cytokine storm, that triggered a 100% blockage in his heart, in need of a stent, and a defibrillator to save his life. After 2 months in ICU, hospitals and long term care centers doctors told him he needed to exercise every day to help his heart.

Yardley was not a fan of walking or exercising, so his wife, Lisa, introduced him to pickleball and predicted that he would love it. She was right! Despite the fact that neither had ever played before, Yardley took to it like a pro from day one and became addicted to pickleball.

Yardley has been playing table tennis, or ping pong, for nearly four decades and grew up playing with his father, a college champion, and his siblings. He rapidly realized that the two games complemented one another.

Multi-Award winning pickleball player in men’s doubles and mixed doubles. Today he finds his pleasure in helping you fall in love with pickleball too and have fun doing it.
